Dunkirk Road Activity Centre School Holiday Programme

Our Holiday Programmes are well known around the district.  They were the foundations our organisation 35 years ago and are still running strong today.  Our programmes are open to ALL children, including those with special needs or disabilities (we just ask that you talk to us about them so we can make sure our programme will be a good experience for your child), and those whose parents are working as well as at home.

Parents, caregivers or agencies working with children should note that we are able to negotiate our fees if there is an issue regarding payment.  We are fortunate to have recieved  funding from Mt Wellington Foundation Ltd to assist us in providing holiday programmes for families who are struggling.  Please talk to Tracey about this opportunity.

We operate our school holiday programme for 2 weeks each  school holiday period.  Our next programme  will run 29 September to 10 October 2014.  A copy of our October  programme is here for you

Please phone or email us and we will send you our programme or we have them available at Pt England, Tamaki Primary and Panmure Bridge Schools as well as the Panmure Library.

Your child/ren will be given opportunites to enjoy art and craft, games, sports and free play during the holiday programme.  Trips vary each programme.  They include places such as Te Tuhi in Pakuranga, Extreme Trampoline, Movies, Parakai Hot Pools.

This programme has been approved by CYF so that parents may access the OSCAR subsidy through WINZ and is supported by Auckland Council and The Ministry of Social Development.

WINZ OSCAR SUBSIDY  This subsidy is available from Work and Income to assist parents and caregivers who are working or in training to pay for After School, Before School and Holiday Programmes for their school aged children.  Parents who are finding it difficult to care for children due to illness (eg major surgery, cancer) can also apply for the subsidy.

The subsidy is paid directly to the OSCAR Provider.

You do not need to be a WINZ client and do not need an appointment with WINZ to make the application.  You will need to complete an application (we have those at the Centre) and provide WINZ with proof of income, identity and NZ residency status.  You will also need a birth certificate for your child.

For more information on the WINZ subsidy please contact your OSCAR provider or look at the WINZ website:  http://www.workandincome.govt.nz
